Jim Cone was hired as Controller of The Royal Companies in November of 2008. As Controller of the Royal Companies he has management oversight and responsibility for all financial functions including finance, accounting and human resources.
Prior to joining The Royal Companies, Jim served from 1998-2008 as Chief Financial Officer of Vanderbilt Equities Corp., Vanderbilt is a commercial real estate development company with over 250,000 sf of retail space. As CFO of Vanderbilt he was responsible for accounting, finance, development & property management.
His other experience in the real estate industry was as Chief Financial Officer of Penturbia Land Corp. and as Vice President/Controller for Properties of America, Inc. a publicly traded land development company in the Northeast. As Vice President of Accounting for Properties of America, Inc., he was responsible for the Initial Public Offering of the company’s stock as well as the day to day financial operations of the company.
Jim graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwest Missouri State University.
